sshfs & rsync

My discovery of sshfs made remote agent conceptually simpler. The RA no longer has to deal with schlepping files back and forth; sshfs can make all files appear local.
So now what I want is for something like sshfs, but it uses rsync to copy the files back and forth.
On the other hand, I bet I could do something a lot like that just redefining the Lispworks "edit file" commands. Always an option. :)
